Free SEO and creator tools

Five tools for the technical and planning side of publishing — meta tags, keyword analysis, crawler rules and revenue modelling.

Everything here runs in your browser. Your drafts and traffic figures are never transmitted.

These five sit at the point where writing meets publishing. They will not tell you what to write, and none of them promise rankings. What they do is remove guesswork from decisions that are otherwise made by eye: what your search result will actually look like, whether an article is genuinely about its target phrase, which crawlers can reach what, and whether a niche is worth the effort at all.

They are aimed squarely at bloggers, YouTube creators and small site owners — people doing their own SEO without an agency or an enterprise toolset.

The five tools

The YouTube thumbnail downloader pulls every available resolution from any video URL with no API key, because thumbnails live at fixed public paths. Its most useful application is competitive research: seeing the top ten thumbnails for a search side by side tells you what to do differently.

The meta tag and Open Graph generator writes a complete tag block with a live Google result preview and a social card preview, so you can see the truncation point before you publish rather than after.

The keyword density checker breaks an article into one, two and three word phrase frequencies. Treat it as a warning system for accidental repetition, not as a target to hit.

The robots.txt generator builds a valid file with presets for WordPress, Blogger and Shopify, and includes the sitemap line that is the single most useful thing in the file.

The AdSense earnings calculator models revenue from pageviews using either CTR and CPC or a straight RPM, in rupees and dollars.

What these tools deliberately do not claim

There is no keyword density that helps you rank. That idea comes from an era when search engines really did count word frequency, and it survives mainly because it is easy to turn into a number. Modern ranking evaluates semantic relevance across a whole document, so the density checker is useful for catching text that reads as forced, not for hitting a percentage.

Meta descriptions are not a ranking factor either, and have not been for many years. They are a click-through factor, which is arguably more valuable — the same position with a better description earns more traffic. Google also rewrites them roughly half the time regardless of what you write.

The AdSense calculator multiplies the numbers you give it. It cannot know your traffic's country mix, device split, ad placement or seasonality, all of which move real earnings substantially. It is a planning estimate, not a forecast, and nothing on that page is financial advice.

A sensible order to use them in

Before writing, model the niche with the AdSense calculator to see whether the traffic you can realistically reach justifies the work. While writing, run drafts through the word counter for length and the density checker for repetition. Before publishing, generate the slug with the slug generator and the meta block with the meta tag generator. After launch, set the robots.txt once and mostly forget it.

Frequently asked questions

Not on their own. They remove guesswork from technical decisions and help you catch mistakes — a truncated title, an accidentally blocked page, an over-repeated phrase. Rankings come from content that genuinely serves a search, and no tool substitutes for that.

No. YouTube serves thumbnails from predictable public URLs, so the tool builds the URL from the video ID in your link. There is no API call, no quota and no sign-in.

No. Every tool here runs in your browser and transmits nothing. That matters for unpublished drafts and for revenue figures you would rather not share.

For meta tags, those plugins do the job on WordPress. These are useful for planning copy before you paste it in, for Blogger and hand-built sites where no plugin exists, and for the tools the plugins do not cover.
