What OmniTools is
OmniTools is a collection of thirty free utilities for text, images, code, design, SEO and everyday calculations. There is no account, no trial, no usage cap and no paid tier. Every tool works the moment the page loads.
The thing that makes it different from most of its competitors is architectural rather than cosmetic. Every tool runs entirely inside your browser. When you compress a photograph here, the file is read from your disk into your browser's memory, redrawn on a canvas, re-encoded, and handed back to you as a download. It is never sent anywhere. The same is true of the JSON you format, the passwords you generate, the dates you enter and the articles you analyse.
You can verify this claim yourself, which is the point of making it. Load any tool page, disconnect from the internet, and keep using it. Everything continues to work, because there was never a server involved.
Who runs it
My name is V Abhishek. I build websites and write about making them work — WordPress, blogging, affiliate marketing, YouTube and using AI to get more done in less time. I am based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
OmniTools is a one-person project. I write the code, the copy and the documentation, and I am the person who answers when you use the contact page. You can reach me directly at vabhishek39@gmail.com, and I read everything that arrives there.
Why I built it
The immediate reason was frustration. I needed to get a photograph under 100 KB for a form, and the first three results wanted me to upload it, wait in a queue, watch an interstitial advert, and then accept a download that had been renamed with the site's own branding. One of them asked me to sign in. For a task a browser can do in about forty milliseconds.
The deeper reason is that the upload step is unnecessary and always has been. The Canvas API has been able to resize and re-encode images since roughly 2011. The Web Crypto API has been able to hash a file since 2014. Almost every tool in this category could have been running locally for over a decade, and the main reason they do not is that a server-side tool can see what you give it — and that has value to whoever runs it.
I wanted a set of tools I could recommend to the people I write for without a caveat attached. Beginners, small business owners and creators are exactly the audience least equipped to evaluate what happens to a file after they upload it, and they should not have to.
How the site is funded
Advertising, and nothing else. There is no paid version, no affiliate arrangement inside the tools themselves, and nothing is sold. You will see advertising slots below each tool and further down each page. They are never placed above a tool or beside it, because an advert that interferes with the thing you came for is a bad advert.
No personal data is collected, sold or shared. Advertising partners set their own cookies, which is standard and is explained in full in the privacy policy. The tools themselves collect nothing at all, because there is no mechanism by which they could.
What I will not do
I will not add an account system. I will not put a tool behind a limit and offer to lift it for money. I will not add a server step to a tool that does not need one. And I will not place adverts above the tools, however much better they would perform there.
If a tool here stops working, gives a wrong answer, or behaves differently from how this site describes, that is a bug and I want to hear about it. Tell me and I will fix it.
